Android Doctor: Role in Fluxx and Strategy Tips

Quick Answer

The Android Doctor is a special Keeper from Star Fluxx that can act as either the Robot or the Doctor, and it can also cure Brain Parasites when played.

How to Use the Android Doctor Effectively

1. 1. Play the Android Doctor as a Keeper: Place the Android Doctor in your Keeper zone. It counts as both the Robot and the Doctor simultaneously, so it can help you meet any Goal that requires either role. Remember: it only works in Star Fluxx, not other Fluxx editions.
2. 2. Use It to Cure Brain Parasites: If you or another player has a Brain Parasite attached, you can use the Android Doctor to remove it. This is a direct application of the card's special ability. Check the current rules for timing — curing usually happens on your turn.
3. 3. Adapt Your Strategy as Goals Change: Since the Android Doctor fills two roles, you can keep it in play even when Goals shift. It gives you flexibility to pivot without needing to swap Keepers. Don't discard it early — its value increases as the game progresses.
