As a stretch goal for our Pyramid Arcade Kickstarter, we reprinted our second Chessboard Bandana, the one with a lovely curlicue border by Alison. It's a nice weight cotton, takes paints and dyes well if you want to customize it. Great for travel play!
The squares are 1.75" on a side. This is a teeny bit shorter than a large pyramid on its side, but should not interfere with most games.
The cotton has a nice substantial weight to it, not that flimsy stuff that slides around. I've worn it tied over my hair a few times and the curlicue border hasn't faded or frayed at all. Holds up way better than I expected for the price.
I bought this to use as a bandana for my chess games, and it's held up nicely after a few washes. The curlicue border is a fun detail, and it takes fabric paint without bleeding.
The cotton is a nice, sturdy weight that takes fabric paint without bleeding or warping, and that curlicue border detail makes it feel way more special than a plain bandana. I've already used mine for a dye project and it held up beautifully through the rinse.
