Just Desserts Demo Copy: How to Test the Party Game

Quick answer

Open the Just Desserts Demo Copy, shuffle the deck, and play a test round with 2–5 players. The game plays in 10–40 minutes and is identical to the retail version except for the pink DEMO COPY sticker on the box.

How to test the Just Desserts Demo Copy

1. Unbox and inspect: Remove the shrink wrap and open the box. Check that all cards are present (the deck should match the regular game’s card list). The pink DEMO COPY sticker is on the box front only, not on the cards. If any card is missing, contact the distributor before using it as a demo.
2. Shuffle and deal: Shuffle the deck thoroughly. Deal each player a starting hand according to the rule sheet (usually 3–5 cards). Place the remaining deck face down in the center. A common mistake is forgetting to remove the rule sheet from the deck before shuffling.
3. Play a full round: Follow the standard Just Desserts rules: on your turn, draw a card, then play a dessert card to match a customer’s order. The first player to serve five desserts wins. A typical game lasts 10–40 minutes. If the game ends too quickly, check that players are discarding correctly after each serve.
