Learn what the Kickstarter Green Pyramids are, how they fit into Pyramid Arcade, and whether you need one for your collection.
Quick answer
The Kickstarter Green Pyramids are a stash of nine opaque green pyramids originally exclusive to Kickstarter backers of Pyramid Arcade. If you own Pyramid Arcade, one pack gives you the same number of green pyramids as the other colors in the set.
Why the Kickstarter Green Pyramids Were Exclusive
These pyramids were created specifically for the Kickstarter campaign that funded Pyramid Arcade. The green color matches the Kickstarter logo, making them a commemorative item. For about a year, only backers who supported the campaign could buy them. Now they are available to anyone through the Looney Labs webstore.
What You Get in One Pack
Each pack contains nine opaque green pyramids. That is exactly the quantity you need to match the number of green pyramids in a standard Pyramid Arcade set. If you already have Pyramid Arcade, buying one pack will give you the same count of green pyramids as the other colors.
How to decide if you need them
- You already own Pyramid Arcade: One pack of Kickstarter Green Pyramids gives you the same number of green pyramids as the other colors in the set. If you want a consistent look, this is the simplest way to complete your collection.
- You are a collector or completionist: These pyramids were exclusive to Kickstarter backers for about a year. Now they are available to anyone, but they still carry that limited-edition appeal. If you enjoy having special versions of game components, this is a good pick.
- You only play with standard Icehouse pyramids: If you do not own Pyramid Arcade or do not care about color matching, these green pyramids are functionally identical to other opaque green pyramids. You may not need the Kickstarter version unless you want the specific shade or the backer connection. Consider whether you value the color match or the exclusivity before buying.
